This time, our Meet the Player event took us to Blackburn Leisure Club in Brough which proved to be another really good venue. Fans of all ages turned out and were greeted by Roary the Tiger for high fives and photos. Unfortunately, Liam Millar was forced to send his apologies following his ACL injury but at last minute we managed to bring in a couple of ex-tigers in the form of John Hawley and Justin Whittle.
Ivor Pandur was amazing and took great pleasure in answering questions from the fans. From favourite grounds he’s played at, to what’s involved in training sessions and match days, giving encouragement to budding young goalkeepers and giving us an insight into the camaraderie in the dressing room, from best dressed player (Alfie Jones), hardest working player in training (Xavier Simons), best player car (Liam Millar) and funniest player (Ryan Giles). There were a few awkward questions though he did dodge one from Tom a young Tiger fan who asked “Given the poor start to the season should we sack Tim Walter?!!!! And one from our very own Jan about his opinion on short corners!!! John and Justin kept us all entertained with their stories and opinions on the game as it is today.
Once the Q&A was over, the raffle was drawn with prizes including a signed football, Hull City scarves, keyrings and a watch.
An orderly queue then formed for photos and autographs with Ivor. Ivor was especially made up when he was given a Panda that one of our members, Lexie, had knitted for him.
Thanks to everyone who came on the night, we hope you enjoyed it.
Massive thanks to Hull City, Ivor Pandur, John Hawley, Justin Whittle, Adey Wright, Roary… and those that helped make the event happen including Brendon Smurthwaite, Dan Briggs, Tigers Trust and James Hoggarth for helping publicise the event.

Now to plan somewhere for the next one- got any ideas? Let us know
