Preston North End vs Hull City AFC Thursday 26th December 3pm Match Preview by Lee Dolman

Lets hope we can wrap up another win on the road at Preston........

Hallelujah!
We finally win a game, at the 14th attempt.
Hope and confidence is restored.

Preston
Our Boxing Day trip to Preston, pits us against a team which hasn’t won at home, since the 19th October.

They have drawn a few though, including against the league leaders L#%ds. So this will be a tough game to win.

Preston was officially the wettest City in England in 2014, so take a jacket. It’s famous for Sir Tom Finney and Nick Park (Wallace & Gromit and the Chicken Run)

The Tigers
Our away form is poor of late, with just one point and only 3 goals in 6 games.
After Saturday and with our new Head Coach Ruben Selles, we have a renewed belief.

I thought we looked well organised and we played the ball through the midfield nicely against Swansea. A midfield which was largely bypassed under Tim Walter.

Areas to Exploit
Preston have conceded late on in consecutive games. They will be without two defenders in Liam Lindsay (suspended) and Andrew Hughes (injured).

So if we can put in a performance to the standard of the Swansea game, I feel we have a good chance. Joao Pedro is looking sharp and hungry for more goals. It was great to see Mason Burstow come on and score. Our midfield looked lively too.

One Family
Big thanks to everyone at Hull City for making the match day experience so special. From the ticket pricing, to the food, the retro programmes, kits and the incentives for fans. The pre match build up, especially the Eye of the Tiger. Plus the superb work done by the Tigers Trust.
The club really does embrace the One Family ethos. This is reflected in the home games averaging 20,000 + despite the poor home form.

Merry Christmas to everyone at Hull City and the supporters. Here’s to a successful 2025.

A safe journey to all those travelling to Lancashire, let’s hope we are gifted 3 points.
