Survival
Just 20 games to go and winning is now everything.
Forget style, we need a minimum 27 points.
The New Den is never an easy place to go, although we are unbeaten in 5 games against them, drawing 0v0 back in August.
Head 2 Head
The two sides have met 73 times with The Tigers winning 27 and drawing 22.
Our adversaries
Millwall have only won 1 of their last 10 league games, beating Blackburn 1v0 at home.
They have won 2 of their last 6 at home.
Aside from the Cup, they’ve also struggled to score goals, scoring just 6 goals in their last 10 games and conceding 10.
The astute Alex Neil has now taken over and he will be keen to impress, having been overlooked by City.
Ex Tiger George Honeyman is back in the side and scored at Hillsborough.
The hosts are expected to be without the services of Josh Coburn, Calum Scanlon and Aidomo Emakhudue to injury.
Striker Tom Bradshaw recently completed a move to Oxford United, while Romain Esse is reportedly close to joining Premier League Crystal Palace.
However, Aaron Connolly has arrived from Sunderland to become Millwall's first signing of the winter transfer window.
The Tigers
City’s away form is poor with just 1 win and 5 defeats in their last 6. Scoring just 3 and conceding 8.
We have hope though, following an excellent performance against that team which currently heads the table.
City will be backed by a large away following, thanks to yet another superb gesture by the club of free coach travel.
We also have reinforcements in Matt Crooks, Joe Gelhardt and Nordin Amrabat. Welcome to you all.
Only Alfie Jones and Coyle are left from the starting XI who played at the New Den last year.
Prediction
Millwall are mid table but far from safe on 30 points. Their lack of goals leaves them vulnerable.
I expect an intense battle.
A reinvigorated City side might just have the gulie to unlock a miserly Millwall defence.
If we score first, I would expect us to win.
