The 03-04 season saw the Tigers celebrate a promotion from the basement division that marked the start of their rise to their first ever appearance in the Premier League. At the end of the 04-05 season they only went and did it again, finishing second to secure back-to-back promotions, this time into the Championship. Last year we held an event to celebrate 20 years from that first promotion so we thought this year we'd do it again as well.
The Hull City Official Supporters Club invites fans of all ages to come along to the Kingston Suite at the MKM on Saturday 10th May for a celebration of that second step on the way to football's top table. Brendon Smurthwaite will once again be compering and chatting to players and staff from that season, including manager Peter Taylor, Hall of Fame member Nick Barmby, Andy Dawson, Stuart Green and many others.
Tickets are priced at £20 which includes street food (vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options available) a souvenir ticket (for those all-important autographs) and an opportunity to obtain memorabilia only available on the night. Ex City legend John Hawley will be acting as auctioneer, with a replica shirt signed by the players present as the main lot of the evening, and there will also be the chance to obtain other unique items.
Tickets go on sale at 9:00 on Monday 31st March, with members of the Hull City Official Supporters Club eligible for a 20% discount on ticket price. Last year's event proved extremely popular so book early to avoid disappointment.
