Of the OSC members who voted for him, super fan Elaine Gutherless came out of the hat to give Jacob his award, which she presented to him after training on Tuesday afternoon.

Jacob said afterwards that whilst awards such as Players Player were good, to receive an award from the fans who watch him week in week out was really special and he wanted to thank all those who voted for him.

Jacob’s chosen charity was P.A.U.L for Brain Recovery, a local organisation offering help and support to those with acquired brain injuries. Their founder and CEO, Paul Spence, received a cheque for £300 from Jacob on behalf of the OSC and spoke of how delighted he was for their organisation to be put forward, as it relies on donations and fund raising efforts to continue its work in the local community.
