Survival of the fittest.
This season is now all about survival for us.
Despite our upturn in form and back to back home wins for the first time in 2 years, we are still only 3 points off the relegation zone.
Luton need a win to avoid being cut adrift. Back to back relegations would cause them huge problems financially.
If we win, then surely, Plymouth and Luton would have too much to do to catch us.
So this game is huge for both sides.
Past Encounters
It was September 2019 when we last beat Luton.
Since then we have lost 5 and drawn 1.
Firing blanks
Luton have failed to score in 14 games or 37% of their fixtures.
Jacob Brown is out injured (4 goals this season).
However Morris (7 league goals) and Adebayor (5 goals) are both likely to start.
New Broom
Matt Bloomfield was head hunted from high flying Wycombe Wanderers to replace Rob Edwards.
His record so far is 10 points from 12 games.
However they won at Cardiff last time out.
Our House
We are finally winning at home BUT we are still without our talisman Joao Pedro, whose know how, strength and tenacity has proved invaluable.
We have options in the No.9 position with Mason Burstow, Joe Gelhardt and Kyle Joseph.
We are also unbeaten in 4 games.
Legend
We welcome back Brian Horton to the MKM (Circle).
Brian brought success to Hull and entertaining football in the mid 80's. 20 years later he united with Phil Brown to realise the ultimate dream.
His book is well worth a read.
Respect
Some things are bigger than football.
We send our thoughts and prayers to the people of Myanmar and Thailand following the huge 7.7 earthquake, which caused devastation in the region today.
My sister is out there teaching and felt the school building shaking, which caused panic and terror.
